Michele Del Prete ha conseguito il dottorato in filosofia presso la
Freie Universitaet di Berlino; ha studiato musica elettronica a Venezia
con Alvise Vidolin e composizione a Graz con Beat Furrer. Conferenze,
performances ed esecuzioni in Europa e altrove (Cambridge, Harvard, Madrid, Darmstadt, Toronto, Venezia, Barcellona, Graz, Berlino, Boston, Montevideo, Helsinki, etc.). Ha organizzato due
conferenze con Pierluigi Billone, a Palermo (Spazio: due posizioni) e a Venezia (Dialogo con Luigi Nono, a proposito di Risonanze
erranti). Lavora su poesie di Roberto Bacchetta; dal 2015 collabora con
Igor Imhoff. La sua ricerca attuale di teorico e compositore/performer
riguarda la portata dell’organo nella musica occidentale (identità
sonore, valori spaziali, prassi esecutive).
Michele Del Prete holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Freie
Universitaet Berlin. He studied Electronic Music in Venice with Alvise
Vidolin and Composition in Graz with Beat Furrer. Conferences and
performances in Europe and elsewhere (Cambridge, Harvard, Madrid, Darmstadt, Toronto, Venice, Barcelona, Graz, Berlin, Boston, Montevideo, Helsinki, etc.). He organized two conferences with
Pierluigi Billone in Palermo and in Venice (Space: Two Positions and Dialogue with Luigi Nono, on the occasion of Risonanze
erranti). He works on poems by Roberto Bacchetta; since 2015 he is
working together with Igor Imhoff. He is currently investigating the
understanding of the organ in Western music (sound identities, spatial
values, performance practices) both as theoretician and as
composer/performer.
